I've tried two different DVI cables, two different PCs, changing settings of the monitor and nothing seems to fix it.

I get these dark lines, really annoying when the scenes are at night.

Here's a pic of the problem from True Blood (it doesn't just happen to this tv show)

Fairly hard to see as the image has been scaled down, but there nonetheless.

Cheers.

I would've thought it would be more of a video player problem and not the monitor. Especially if you can printscreen the problem, that pretty much rules out the monitor.

What video player are you using?

I've tried two different PCs, one with 3930K, GTX 280, 16GB RAM, Win7 Pro 64-Bit and the other Q6600, 7500LE, 2GB RAM, Win Vista Home Prem 32-Bit.

Both with the same problem.

It's like the monitor can't distinguish between the blacks as one colour.

So both are using Nvidia cards. Personally I don't like using Nvidia for movie playback since I don't find the quality as good as AMD/Intel. Does the Vista PC have an onboard Intel you could possibly try?

Can you go into the Nvidia control Panel as well and see if there's a way to disable as much Purevideo related stuff as possible?

Thanks for the replies, so it's Nvidia drivers, damn you nvidia. The vista pc doesn't have onboard so i cannot test it there, also there is no Purevideo related stuff on there.
