Hi all,
Looking for a bit of help here,
I recently bought a new Samsung HD154UI 1.5tb as drive E for my music storage, I am using Windows 7 64 and its built in Media Player.
I installed this drive and put my music on it, though W7 would not let me just move the complete music folder. So it has just the album folders themselves.
Seemed fine until I noticed that every time I switch Media Player on it has to update it's Media Files from drive E before I can play my music?
Previously I have not had this problem. It is very tedious and not what I expected
I have also read that the Samsung drive I bought comes in three versions, models HD154UI, HD154UI/JP1 and HD154UI/Y?
Apparently the two with /JP1 and /Y are not for desktop use? I thought I had bought HD154UI as it's what was stated in the add, but it turns out its HD154UI/Y?
Does anyone know if this problem with Media player having to re-read drive E to update the media library is a Windows problem due to my settings? Or does it sound like a drive problem?
