Hi,
Yes you need to use extenders there since they are recessed ports.
You usually got a couple of these with your reservoir but if you need more, this is the one you need : EK-Extender G1/4 - Nickel
I see that you use black fittings. Unfortunately these little extenders are only nickel. If you really want black, you could use this kind of entender : EK-Extender G1/4 Socket - Black
It's a bit wider than normal but it's black
