Problem with getting to sites

Hi

My internet seems a bit messed up at the minute. practically everytime i turn the computer on i have to open firefox 3 times, only on the 3rd time it manages to access my homepage, google. However another site i can access straight away that i just happen to know the actual ip number for. Also, at times its picky, enter the address for the popular auction site and it comes up no problem yet enter the address for another site at same time in another tab, it does'nt open.

Anyone got a idea?

Quite possible your ISP has network problems particularly with its DNS computers converting names to the real IP addresses. Check there website for service info.


To test you can change your default DNS server to another open one by various means.

Do you use a USB modem or some kind of router for your internet connection?
