Problem with GFX Card or Monitor?

I've recently had a replacement monitor sent out by Dell, plugged it in and it worked brilliantly for less then about 12 hours.

On the right side of the screen there appear to be little pixels that are a different color to the screen. They come and go and occasionally other columns flash up across the screen, they come and go.

This a GFX Problem? Running a GTX 460 Nvidia, never had a single problem with it previously.

Nope Monitor :/

Really annoyed.

Just phoned Dell and had a ***** fit at them about sending me a faulty replacement monitor.

Had to email them that photo too, love being able to multitask on my iPhone 4.

Should have a replacement tomorrow or Wednesday.

Why?

It worked when you received it so it would have worked when it was tested.

They didn't deliberately send you a faulty monitor.

Why what?

It started to show problems not 12 hours in to use  what kind of tests do they run?

What sort of tests do you expect them run?

It probably gets plugged in at the factory and a few tests are run.

If it passes that's it.

It's likely the same with every electrical item you've ever bought.

They're not going to test every one of the thousands of monitors they produce for hours on end.

I reserve the right to be annoyed at a company for sending me a faulty item as a replacement, if you want to get your knickers in a twist feel free :)

You've had it less than a day.

Give it time ;)

LMAO :D don't jinx it, he has a history of blowing up graphics cards as it is , I was surprised to see one lived and ended up on the OC MM the other day :D Prays it does not catch fire in the new buyers machine :p

OHH back on topic that is the monitor 100% not the graphics card ;).

Me too mate but fractal design are not replying to my emails this time ... Maybe I need you to contact their "put any words you like here" for me to get them to reply.:D BTW I had same problem with an IIYAMA monitor a few years back and they replaced my 1 broken monitor with 3 replacements and all 3 were broken in some way and one even had blood stains on it... In the end the lady that I was dealing with at iiyama was shocked, she got the pictures of the blood stains and the monitor was scratched to high heaven on the screen too. She sent me a brand new monitor in the end that was their top of the range at the time.. I called up said wrong monitor but this one is great, she said it's a gift from us for all the hassle we caused and they were surprised how polite I remained during the whole thing.. The monitor was like 4x the price of the one I purchased originally.
