Problem with Gmail just downloading not loading though?

I am having a problem with gmail not actually loading fully up, when I log in, it starts downloading the page :confused:

and just stays on the page "logging in" or whatever it is, happens in both firefox and chrome, tried clearing cache, cookies etc. but still the same

Anyone know what is wrong and how to fix it?

I have this occasionally, but it's usually when our internet is getting saturated.

I had this last night on my ipad... right pain in the arse as I didn't have no data coverage on my phone!
