Dear friends,

I am having problems with the HDMI settings when i connect my xbox 360 to my Hanns G HG281D. I can only select 480P In the screen settings menu of my xbox, anything above 480P is grey and cannot be selected. I don't have this problem on my bigscreen HD TV and i have test it on other tv's to. Does anyone have similiar problems and does anyone solved the problem?

I have called HannsG and asked for a solution, but the answer was: they can't do anything about the problem, it's a known issue :(

I hope someone has a solution for this problem.

Have the same model, but no issues connecting to 360 or PS3.

When did you buy it, as they should be covered by a 3 year warranty, and therefore if it's less than 3 years they should sort it for you.

Hello ffalilic, how do you connect your xbox to the GH281D, with VGA HD cable or HDMI ?
I can select all HD resolutions with a VGA HD cable, but not with a HDMI cable which i prefer for better performance. Performance is not good enough with VGA HD cable, I use the original HDMI cable which came with the monitor. What kind of cable do you use?

there is still warranty, so i will ask them to sort it for me.

I connect my xbox to my sound system using hdmi, and then hdmi out from the sound system to the monitor.

Have you not tried another hdmi cable? I would try that first.
