I have a problem with my HIS 1900XT 512Mb graphics card which I suspect might be a PSU issue but do not want to buy a new PSU if it is something else

System is

Intel Dual Core E6600 running at stock
2Gb Geil PC6400 RAM
HIS 512Mb 1900 XT PCI graphics card
4 X SATAII hard drives
2 X IDE DVD RW drives
2 X 19 inch Samsung Monitors

various USB devices such as a scanner etc

My power supply is a TAGAN 480 watt but with and APG power lead instead of a PCI so am using a converter.

The problem is that after about 10 minutes both monitors go blank (screen usually completely green or blue) with black vertical lines down both screens. I then have to reboot the computer.

If I run ATi Tool and up the voltages then I might get 2 -3 days continuous use before the screens go blank again.

I can complete 3DMark06 with no problems using the 6.9 drivers

Apologies for the length of post but any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

if you suspect its the psu i would suggest running only essentials and see if you get the same problem, my feeling would be that the card is at fault. if it was the psu you would not get the delay i dont think.
