Hello, i have purchased this laptop on February.

I think i have a problem with monitor or video card.

I can use laptop with no problem, browse internet, movies, etc. until everything stops, sometimes, monitor is black and after 5-10min computer restarts, sometimes monitor flashes and recovers, but 90% it stops:monitor is or black, or colors and pictures disappear and i can do nothing in most cases- Only switch off system. well, this is how i can explain the problem.

Once, windows resolved (recovered) this issue after flashes...and windows reported that the problem caused by video card.
i have updated video card, but it did not help.

specs are: AMD TURION 64x2 mobile technology TL-60 2 ghz, 2gb ram, ge force 7150M.

IS it possible to return this product or i have chance only to use warranty to repair?

Thank you.

Could be the backlight inverter failing? Repair under warranty is about all you're going to get if you bought it in February.

i would say it was the intergrated Nvidia chipset they are very flakey at best, this will be covered for a repair as it is under the 12 months warranty period. If in doubt back up your data, reinstall with the supplied or burnt off cds or if hd based recovery, if still the same its hardware.

Yep, if you google the forums there were some reports a while back about many problems with the nvidia chipsets. I know someone with a similar machine and the equivalent 8-series and it runs way too hot imo, has crashed several times after about 4+ hrs of use too.
