Hiya,

I purchased these components for a HTPC build.

Gigabyte GA-A75M-D2H A75
AMD Llano A6-3500 2.40GHz

Now, everything powers up. I can install windows fine but after using it for a while it locks up. The screen goes slightly chequered and I have to restart. This can take anywhere from not even making it into windows to 5 minutes. I thought it might be a heat issue but the temps are all around 29 and don't go above 40. I've tried both sticks of ram in both slots. I've reseated everything. I've tried reinstalling windows twice.

Only think I haven't changed is the HDD but I wasn't sure if it could cause this kind of issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks guys.

No, sorry. I meant freezes on the load screen. Not the first one with the black background.

I've been messing in the bios. I changed the memory frequency down 1 notch and its booted fine and been working for 30 minutes. I'll keep using it and see how it goes.

What ram is it? What voltage? What voltage is it set to?

This is the memory

OCZ Gold 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Low-Voltage Dual Channel Kit (OCZ3G1333LV4GK) [OCZ3G1333LV4GK]

I just upped the volts a couple of notches and trying running it again. Not sure what it was originally at. When\if it crashes, I'll make a note and come back

Will it work with one stick of memory - have you tried one and then the other and then both

It can be work simply reseating all the components - a poor contact :)

Hiya,

Neither stick worked on its own until I lowered the frequency and upped the volts.

So, prob going to see if I can send it back, had it a while though and just get some other value ram
