Hello.
My laptop screen lights up on bootup, but doesn't display a single thing. So I went ahead and ordered a replacement screen, once replaced, I tried booting it up and guess what? Same thing. After a couple of reboots the screen went all pink pixels and weird stuff like that and then displayed "no boot disk" this was because I removed the HDD. After putting it all back together thinking that error message was a sign it was working, it still did the exact same thing as the old screen, Brights up, no display.
Could this be the internal graphics?
Thanks

Side Notes:
Attempted different RAM ( still no luck )
The screen has an integrated Inverter so that can't be the issue.

Have you tried using it with an external monitor?

May need to look to opening it up and see if you need to clean HSF and re-paste?

Would suggest that the motherboard has gone?

What is the make and model of laptop?

One of the ultimate weird things, is that once, it booted up, but with NO display but you could hear the windows sounds. So I have no clue what's wrong :s

I assume the GPU is an AMD mobile chip?

Can only suggest that the GPU is U/S.

Probably due to overheating.

And as it is most likely soldered to the motherboard, it can either be reballed or the motherboard will have to be replaced.

Only an educated guess l am afraid.

It's an Intel I3
Such a shame if it's a motherboard issue, not worth forking out for that.

CPU should be an i3, the GPU on some models was an AMD HD GPU.

Sorry l could have not been of more help.
