Problem with laptop volume

Simple problem really. The laptop plays videos nice and loud, sometimes I have to keep music on half volume. But for some dvds and other films its just so quiet its barely audable. even with the windows voulme and the vlume contorl on side of laptop up to full. Is there a way to boost volume even more?

Maybe the answer lies in the General Hardware Forum. :confused:

Laptops are notorious for low volumes. Apart from the volume button & the window volume icon on the system tray, only the software you are using will allow you to increase it.

I'd make sure its plugged into the mains too.

Then do a good scout about in the DVD program for the volume control.

its plugged in and the program volume is on max too
