Hi guys, my neighbour has just bought a new LCD TV, but he is having some problems, the TV on terestrial channels is dandy.

But when he tries to run his video player it outputs all green apparently, it worked fine on his old TV. The shop said he needed a new SCART cable, so he has a new one but still has the same problem.

He has swapped around sockets on the back of the TV also, does anyone have any ideas of what may be causing this?

Thanks.

It is more likely he needs to turn RGB off, or use a different SCART socket on the back of the TV.
Green screen is normally caused when something not outputting RGB is connected to a TV expecting an RGB signal. When it can't find it, it puts the whole signal through the green signal wire, hence the lack of blue and red.
Also make sure the VCR doesn't have an option to enable RGB.
