Problem with Manhunt...?

Hi all.

Basically when I try to start Manhunt from steam (never played it before but downloaded it ages ago) it comes up with the error saying 'manhunt.exe' has stopped working. I use windows vista HB 32-bit and it also pops up with a box at the bottom right of the screen saying 'Data Execution Protection' is on and 'manhunt.exe' cannot start. So I clicked on this and followed the steps to try and turn it off for Manhunt, however it declared that 'manhunt.exe'. requires DEP to work. So I cannot play Manhunt. Can anyone offer me any help or advice as to how I can use this game as I'd like to give it a go, seeing as I paid about £3 for it.

reinstall it first, as you said you downloaded it a while ago it's probably your best best. are any other games on steam doing this
 
i just reinstalled mine for the hell of it, doesnt seem to want to work with vista :( it just comes up with a close program error. Tried running it on compatibility with win2k aswell, other than that... im tempted to try get a no-cd executable file to see if it works.
