right trying to install this hideous bit of kit known as Microsoft mobile manager 2008 (also known as mdm), firstly and this is a side note although being 2008 it only works on 2003 HOW HIDEOUS IS THAT!

right now to the point,

server 001 - server 2003 r2 x64
server 002 - server 2008 32
server 003 - server 2003 r2 32

Ive installed the MDM Server on what well call server 001 followed by the enrollment server on server 001 and the admin tools on what will also be known as server 002 & server 003, now server 002 is also the authentication server on our domain,

when I go to install the gateway server on server 003 (for the mdm server) it asks for an authentication certificate in which it tells me to create one, then for importing It ive tried locally on server 002 and server 003 but heres where the issue comes to pass when i insert the code

(GUIDE HERE)

Code:
certreq –submit –attrib "CertificateTemplate:server001.mydomain.com server001mdm “ GatewayCertReq.txt GatewayCert.cer

into cmd it turns round looks for the the cert im trying to import I point it its way and then ERROR

when tried on server 003 = 0x80094800
when tried on server 002 = 0x80070534

now ive got these guides relating to server 2003 sp1 etc but I think its all to do with linking to a security group that isnt there Ive tried creating it on the command line

Code:
certutil -setreg SetupStatus -SETUP_DCOM_SECURITY_UPDATED_FLAG
net stop certsvc
net start certsvc

but it dosent appear in the AD ???

basically im trying to create a spercific authentication certificate for the handshaking as there appears to be none in the box and I cant proceed on installing the gateway server and these are the apparent work arounds Ive been told

so any ideas
