Hi,

Recently I've been receiving the error "Display driver has stopped working and recovered", sometimes I get a full BSOD instead stating ATIMPAG.sys.

The problem occurs often when trying to watch a video on Youtube, the PC will freeze and if I'm lucky the video will go green and I'll get an error message, if I'm not lucky I'll get a full BSOD. The problem happens 100% if I have a game open and alt tab to Youtube.

The build is only 4 months old and it's been working perfectly up until a week or so, I have the latest drivers and I did a complete sweep to ensure the new drivers took correctly.

I've done some research and people suggest it's a sign the card is dying, is this correct? As the card is only 4 months old I could still send it back to ocUK for a replacement.

Thank you for any help.

Is it stable in games or doing the same thing? Have you underclocked it a bit and confirmed it still does it? Have you tried tried any graphics stress testing apps, the one that comes with afterburner, or furmark etc?

I presume it cant be tested in another machine? Have you tried dual booting another old os temporarily, or vmwaring one?

It seems stable in games, although I've only tried WoW. I'll play some BC2, that's usually a good game to get something to crash.

It's currently overclocked to the standard "safe" 775/1125.

I have not tried any stress test apps.

I cannot test it in another machine.

I just played a full round of BC2 and it was fine, performance was even better then the last time I played it (About 3 driver revisions ago).

I wouldnt expect this to be a dying card.

Have you tried youtube in a different browser? Have you tried playing other sorts of avi files?

So far its only youtube that you are having trouble with.

I just fired up utube, and it looks like its using flash. As I have zero flash software expertise, I figured I'd try the usual... right click randomly all over it. Seems I dont have the latest version, and could update it if I wanted (link below for you).

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Perhaps you could try the usual stuff when what seems to be a single piece of software is having an issue?
