I've run into a problem with my Antec P50. This looks like it is down to "user error" so I am trying to figure out how best to fix it.
Today my PC turned itself off. I realised that it had become REALLY hot. I let it cool and turned it back on. I realised the front two 120mm fans were not spinning.
When I popped the case open I tried to see where the issue was. The two 120mm fans each have just a single three pin cable. Somehow they were both plugged into a pair of three pin connectors marked "top fan". These connectors were just connected end to end. So I had the two fans in a simple loop.
I noticed that I also had a second set of connectors marked "top fan". These were connected to a set of four wires. Two of these wires were stuck into the back of the "top fan" connector but had almost worked free. The other two were swinging in the air.
These four wires are now not connected to anything. I have wrapped them in tape at the moment. They seem to be connected to the fan control on the case. I can't see how the two fans at the front are supposed to be connected. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
