Problem with my brothers Rover 400

My brothers Rover 400 won't start without push starting it.
The battery has been replaced, no difference.

There's a 'click' noise coming from the engine when turning the key.

He said he thinks it's the immobiliser as it's no longer making the beeping noise it used to when unlocking the car? I've never heard the noise he's on about so I'm not convinced that's the problem but is it possible to start the car when push starting it without disabling the immobiliser?

It starts fine when push starting it.

Any ideas?

Found out it is definitely the starter motor.

Anyone know how much a new one would cost? (just the part)
and how long it might take to fit?

I can't see it being too difficult to replace?
It's only a 1.4 and there's loads of space in the engine bay
