Problem with my cooler, need help

I have recently put together my gaming pc and I have installed my cooler(kraken x72) and plugged everything into my motherboard(maximus xi hero) but there isn’t enough plugs for the 9 pin usb plug to go into my motherboard and I have just ordered a splitter but still the cooler isn’t turning on still anybody have any ideas

Seems to suggest that running a USB cable from a USB port on the back of the motherboard or case front will work - at least until you get a header splitter and can get a cleaner solution.

Either that, or install a USB expansion card to give you some extra USB slots - something like this: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/startech-7-port-pci-usb-card-pciusb7-cc-013-sr.html
