O.S: Windows 7 home 64 Bit
CPU: AMD Bulldoser Fx 6100 Processor 3.3GHz 6 core
RAM: (Corsair CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 4GB DDR3 PC12800)
MOTHERBOARD: Asus M5a78l-m/usb3 ( Latest Released Bios )
GRAPHICS CARD: Nvidia Geforce 8800GT
Harddrive: 1.3TB
I am currently having some issues. This is my first complete build and could have missed somthing really easy knowing me.
Problem:
I have everything running and going great couple of minutes later run prime 95 for 12 hours without it finding a issue ( with all 6 cores running ). First assumed it was Ram and i did get errors in a Ramtest. But bought some other Ram and still got the same issue. Soon as i turn off prime 95 computer just turns off randomly and when restarted comes up with a dump file message. This was about 2 months ago and no one could give me a real answer, but hopefully a bit more is known.
After spending hours playing about with settings and managing to get it to run normally on one core and then worked it will run on 4 cores ( 1,2-3,4) so i assumed 5-6 could be dead and damaged, but was told this is unlikely and tried running it on (1,2-.5,6) and it run completely fine. So it runs absolutely fine on 4 cores but dosent run on 6.
Very confused and any help would be much appreciated. The motherboard and cpu was 2nd hand off a friend had seen them working previously and the motherboard used to run a Amd Fx 8100 fine.
