Hey guys, this is kind of more of a technical question - it's monitor related so I thought I'd post it in here. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I bought my Dell 2209WAf in January 2010 (so I've had it a while), I'm using two monitors plugged into a Nvidia GTS 250 with DVI cables.
One day I wake up, turn on both of my monitors and the Dell instantly "falls asleep". I tried swapping the cables etc but nothing seemed to work; I did all of the tests (unplugging the monitor and turning it on) and it seemed to work fine in terms of the monitor itself.
I don't think it's a driver fault or anything of that nature since it literally doesn't detect the monitor at all (not just saying unknown PnP and such).
Essentially the monitor isn't being detected yet seems to be working itself as an entity. I don't know if it's a problem with the graphics card, the monitor itself or some settings within my computer.
I believe the monitor is still under the warranty (and I have the order number) but I wanted to post here first to avoid hassle if anyone has any idea of a solution for me.
Thanks very much,
Sam.
