Hi all,

I seem to be having a problem with my freeview signal when I plug in my amazon firetv. I get all channels full signal until plug and power on firetv.

Things I have tried include using an hdmi splitter and moving it away from TV. Buying a quality aerial cable. Fitting ferrite cores to firetv hdmi cable which seemed to have helped.

Any ideas?

The boys at aerialsandtv know what they're doing. What happens if you try the Fire TV on another telly that has an aerial connection?

I had some interference between the rf out on a sky box to tv that was cured by using a satellite cable rather than a TV aerial lead, guess the satellite lead (with adaptors) had better shielding.

Tried one of those 4G interference filters as well but didn't do anything (wasn't 4G causing it :p )

How is the signal quality? That's the important one, signal strength is fine as long as it over 60% or so. In fact too strong a signal can cause the same issues as a low strength signal.

Hi guys,

So after it felt like I had tried everything. It seemed like the only thing left was the cable going from the cable spitter in my loft to the TV. I knew the aerial was OK as every other TV was fine. So opened up the plastboard today and replaced the cable and all is working well now. That was a really frustrating experience. Glad it seems ok now.
