Problem with my mates gxsf600

Hi,

I know someone with a 1999 gsxf 600, he says the wheels are seized. I haven't seen the bike myself but he thinks it is the wheel bearings. Now I said I would do it for him.

What sort of job have I got myself in for?

If it's sat for a day or two the brakes have probably seized. Just need forcing the wheels round if that's the case.

Sounds like brakes binding.
Wheel bearing seizure is very very uncommon.

If it's the brakes binding then the calipers will need stripping and cleaning. Dead easy job. Just get the seal kits.

It has sat for about 2 months from what I know, it had gone through my mind already. Just out of interest though, are doing wheel bearings nice and easy on bikes?

Will be the brakes not the bearings ... Most bearing have to be pressed in and out but if u know what yer doing a blowtorch and freezer will do it most of the time... But im pretty much 100% it will be the calipers/disks
