Hi Guys

I just built a new PC (My first time) and it would appear that one of my OZC Platinum Revision 2 XTC sticks is not working. I have tried it in different sockets in the mother board and it still wont register. Do u think it is faulty or is there something else i should try?

Many Thanks

Wiz

Most motherboards you use the 1st and 3rd sockets. Try that if you haven't already.

When you say appears one is not working, is that in the BIOS or Windows or...?

Yeah i have tried it in both the 1st and 3rd sockets and with only that stick in as well (The system failed to boot). In BIOS it shows as only 1024 Mb present and the same in windows.

I guess you must have a faulty stick then and you will probably have to send it back. Did you buy them as a 2x1GB pair? Would be harsh if you had to send both sticks back.

Though having never had OCZ memory I don't know if there are any other issues that could be causing the problem..

Yeah i did get them in a pack of 2. I'll contact overclockers tomorrow and see what they say. If i do have to send them back i wont be able to use my new comp :(
