As you can see in the image have this odd green stripy thing going on with my new WC. It did it when I first plugged it in, I wobbled the cable around and it went away so thought I just hadn't put it in properly. Then this evening it did it again and I had to unplug the monitor and plug it back in. Now 10 minutes later it's done it again, I'm not sure if it's the monitor, the graphics card or maybe even my spyder 3 calibrator?

Anyone else ever had something like this? My second screen is fine. I'll try a different cable.

lol

I think it might actually be something to do with the spyder 3. I'm leaving it unplugged to see if it stops doing it.

Edit: BLAH, I think it's just broken, keeps changing from being fine back to weird greeness and then back again. Unplugging it or even turning it off doesn't even seem to be fixing it any more. Really didn't want the hassle of having to send this back.

Hazro HZ27WC.

Yes, I've tried another cable :C

It seems to do it when ever I start doing anything involving monitor colour profiles.

I'm wondering if it's a side effect of my graphics card not detecting the display correctly as I posted here:

I'm going to try removing my graphics card drivers and then re installing them.

Yeah it could be, but It is only happening on this monitor. Never happened on my other 2! Something about the high res stressing it out? Or maybe the fact that my card isn't recognize it properly.

I think it is ok if I stop fiddling with the colour profiles. Going to leave it alone now and see how it goes.

I agree that it looks like a GPU problem. Are you able to underclock the GPU? I have known driver changes to fix a problem like this (in the distant past) as Nvidia squeeze the timings to the limits to get the best performance.

It hasn't done it in a while. If it does it again I will take the OC off my GPU. If it is the GPU I don't think it's a stress thing though cause it hasn't done it in games, only on desktop. I even tried running furmark for a bit and it didn't do it then either. I'm hoping it's to do with nvidia cards not recognizing the screens properly and that it will get fixed some time. The fact it only does it on the WC and not my other displays makes me think this might be the case and isn't my GPU on the way out.

Are the stripes constant or flickering? (just seen your quote above about it changing; doesn't narrow it down much, anywhere from memory read to monitor).

Not really, I have a power monitor and I have never seen it go above 400 watt and as I have said, it has absolutely no correlation to my computer being under load which is when it would be drawing the most power.

They are constant. If I flick between colour profiles a few times it tends to fix it. It's certain colours that it gets applied too (mostly greys), when I flick between the colour profiles the areas tend to expand and retract according to the colour changes.

Maybe I should make a post in the graphics card section?
