I have 2X2GB Corsair XMS3 1333MHz DHX DDR3 Ram

These modules are supposed to run at 1333mhz at 9 9 9 24 timings

However in my bios (790i ultra) it shows they are running at 1066mhz at 7 7 7 20 timings under auto settings. When i manually change the modules to run at the specified speed and timings my pc freezes as soon as windows boots.

I have left the voltage on auto which is 1.5V

Does anybody have any ideas as to whats going on and a possible solution?
Thanks

I've got a similar problem only putting the divider so it goes to 1333mhz and it doesn't even post, will try 3 times fail, then reset the overclock of the CPU.

My voltage on my mobo reads in health 1.7, and in the tweak section i put an extra 0.1 through it like i used to for my DDR2 and same thing still happens.

Mobo: GA-P35C-DS3R

Also v-core2 on speedfan reads 1.76

Can you list your hardware specifications?

Yes sure:

E6600 @3.2 355x9 (had to change it from 400X8) stock volts
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 10666C9 1333MHz TwinX Dual Channel
Gigabyte P35c DS3R
Gainward GS 260GTX 216 @ stock

Anything else needed?

PS: I used to have GeiL 4x1GB DDR2 6400 800mhz and the CPU was 400X8 but im getting a Q9550 and decided on upgrading to DDR3 as well (as this mobo is tricky with 4 sticks in so i had to buy new ram)

Changed the CPU to a Q9550 running at 415x8.5 = 3.527Mhz stock volts across the board.
