So I got myself a late 2012 15" retina mac and after upgrading it to Mavericks the computer shuts itself down and turns itself on. But just to make it clear this doesn't happen during periods of usage, yesterday I was doing a report for 10 hours straight and didn't have a single problem.
The problem happens when I close the lid, when I close the lid it goes to sleep but after 30 seconds or a few minutes I hear the boot up sound and the apple logo light goes on, the again after a few minutes this same process happens. Also earlier when I shut down the mac then closed the lid it started itself again

EDIT: Just tested with the power cord unplugged and closing the lid just shuts down the mac completely too, but this time it doesn't attempt to turn itself on. Am I just being a noob, is there like a setting on the power management I'm missing?
