Hi,

Having a little problem with my steering right now. WHen I start my car I get a build up of pressure in the first ~10 degrees to the left. Then it 'clicks' past this and is completely normal. All the way through that the wheels are turning with the steering wheel all fine. The weird thing is that this dissapears a mile or 2 into the journey as the car warms. It is then completely perfect with zero problems.

Now about 4 months ago I got a new steering rack on it, so that should be under warrenty and the problem has only just started. Could it be the PAS fluid?

Could be the steering rack, or it could be the universal joints on the steering column.

Its almost certainly the universal joints rather than the rack (the exact same problem has just been rectified on my parents car).

Shouldnt be more than £30 to put right.
