Problem with my TV as my monitor, help appreciated.

So I just got given a DVI-HDMI cable from a mate and decided to hook up my TV, when I plug it in it loads all fine but once on the desktop its as if it is slightly zoomed in.
I have gone through the TV options and its not the TV zoom because if I change it to 4:3 for instance, whilst the image is squashed by black bars, you can still see how part of the image is missing at the top, bottom and sides.

Maybe its hard to understand from my description but I hope someone can make something from it as its bugging me :/


Native res. of the TV is 1920x1080.

Are you using the 8800GT card in your sig?

If so, have a look for the option for "resize HDTV desktop" in the nvidia control panel.

The 8600GT, yes.
Will give that a whirl now, cheers.
