Problem with new 670's

Hi all,

just taken delivery of 2 new EVGA 670 FTW 4GB

installed both putting the sli on the 1st slot on the cards,

now i did have 2 x 560's

so far am getting bad results

Guildwars 2 = 41-50fps (same as 560s)
Skyrim running smooth and great
Cod MW3 = totally un playble 3fps

am running
3 x 24" monitors at 5760 x 1080
driver 306.97
windows 64bit

Sli setting set to
Span displays with surround
if i set to maximise 3d performance it switches to 1 screen
says Sli Enabled

oh cant get 5040 x 1080 res anymore next one down is 4967 x 900

ideas anyone

guildwars also had an issue where SLI actually gave worse performance than single card for nvidia at launch. I assume it's better than that now..

As for mw3, i'd do some googling and see if that's a Surround issue. Doubt it though.

Did you do a clean install of the drivers after getting rid of the 560s? Just to be sure..

I reinstalled the drivers but havent done a driver kill, ill give that a try

Ok Guys thanks for all the post,

heres what ive been upto

ive done the following
reset pc back to default clocks 3.3
updated to latest bios
updated all my mb drivers too
clean install of vid drivers using driver sweeper

tested using 1 monitor both MW3 and Darkstriders 2 run at 260fps at 1920 x 1080

now i then selected sli (span mode)
run with 1920 x 1080 (1 screen on) mw3 = 3fps again and Darkstriders 2 = 20 again unplayable!!

ive also tried swapping the sli bridge to 2nd connector but still the same

not a clue

Ok ill check the cards 1 at a time this afternoon

but been googling post after post
it seams am not the only one having this problem

its been reported on some sites its a problem with nvidia driver an mombo problem apparently nvidia know about it

am not totally stuck just means ill have to keep my matrox tripplehead2go untill they sort it

hi all,

right,

tested both 670's both work fine with single monitor 1920 x 1080 getting 180-250 fps on both

now here is something thats interesting and maybe the issue!!

after testing i put my system back together and now i have no windows boot drive
after further testing looks like my OCZ SSD drive has died, ive check it on both my system and another pc it lights up with red & green light but wont detect in the bios,

OMG am having a bad week

My ocz agility 3 would randomly disappear if i'd been adding/removing other sata drives on my z68 board (asus). Took some fiddling but has worked fine since.

Just returned it to *NO COMPETITORS* and got a replacement thats better its sata 3 , corsair so should be great.

Hi all,

ive now re installed windows and... and....and.... it works all games running smooth and highest settings looks like bad driver still in the system was the problem even though i did a clean with driver sweeper

getting 180fps in cod mw3 now at 5760x1080 with everything on highest settings
darksiders 2: running a 70fps with full everything too

Just ran 3d mark 11 getting a score of
