Problem with new Card

I got myself one of these and it arrived yesterday. When I install it I get nothing, the computer doesn't even appear to post. Without the card or with my old one I have no problems (fortunately). I have contacted OC but, as it's the weekend I won't get an answer until Monday.

I do have a concern: my power supply is only 550W, which according to the box is a bit light. I don't think its the problem as I would expect the computer to at least boot, even if I can't play anything.

What do people think? Dodgy card or the power supply is too weak?

whats the name of the psu

OCZ ZT Series 550W Modular PSU

You sure both the plugs are in the gpu?
What about the cpu 4/8pin?

Yep, I put it in twice. The card equires a 6 pin and an 8 pin, and the psu has 2 6+2 connectors. I went no where near the MB connectors, and I have an extension for the CPU connector as the leads were a bit short. As I said it works fine with no card or my old one and the only change is the card.

Psu should be fine for your rig. As suggested above, do you have the latest motherboard bios? This has cured many a similar problem before.

OK, where is my biggest D'oh bat?

Updating the BIOS worked. The problem is, I should know this, I have to do it at work to solve graphics card problems.

Thanks for the advice.
