Hi

I just bought a replacement battery for my Acer X53 laptop as the old one was shutting down the laptop without warning.

I downloaded battery info view before ordering a replacement battery and it showed the following.

The replacement battery seems to have fixed the shut down without warning issue but its not lasting as long as I thought it would.

Battery info view shows its more worn than the one it replaced.

Do you think I should just return it?
Thanks
Scott

Give it a few runs to get it into shape, don't run it dead, best recharge from 40 to 50%, Lithiums do not like to be empty.
Is it from a reputable source? Cheap batteries are notorious for saying they have much higher capacities than they really have.

Yeah probably best returning it if you can. It's worth spending on a proper battery, you will be guaranteed the capacity.

Ebay seller is telling me to ignore the software etc. Should have bought a genuine one oh well it was only around £10 :)
