So my old computer went down and in the middle of a number of projects im working on so it was vital i got a new one and asap.

I went with the Black Ops Ultima and received it today but it looks like theres a big issue. The noise is terrible. Its coming from the front fan and its like a constant reverberating noise. It actually looks like the fan isnt in right because when you see the middle part spinning its not staying in the exact same place its off key if you know what i mean.

I'm really hoping this doesnt mean i need to send the whole computer back and lose more time but also i cant think how else i'd get it sorted and its not really something you could put up with.

Any ideas?

I have also raised an issue in the official section, but while i'm waiting for a response i thought i'd try here.

Does the noise stop when you insert a object to stop the fan from spinning.
It may of come loose during transit.

Is it safe enough to put something in to stop it spinning?

Or should i do it from having it shut down?

Looks like it was the fan after all. I stripped the case down and one of the screws wasnt properly tight. Fixed that and now its pretty much silent.

Thanks for your help.

Hey Jock, What's your opinion on the black ops machine? I'm thinking of getting one but no one has reviewed it on the OCUK website.
