Hi

I have the following system which has run fine since I built it with no problems at all. It's not really been used for anything that would really test it just internet and e-mail.

When I switched it on the other day I got no life from my monitor the green light came on for like a second then went orange again. I though strait away graphics card but I tried a friends one which is a 8500GT PCI-E but still no life. I'm assuming its compatable with my mother board. I also hooked the system up to my TV but still no life.

Could someone maybe help me with what to try next. I don't have any spare lying around and don't really want to go buying more stuff I don't need.

Thanks for any help

On the board there a LCD is there any codes comming up!
Do all the hd's start and the gpu fan.
Only thing I can suggest is the usual of trying a CMOS reset, remove the memory bar 1 stick and see what happens, then try the other stick of ram.

Have the same problems atm :(

It's not my graphics at fault, someone else had the same issue and said their PSU wasn't at fault.

Sent their mobo to ocuk and they found a problem with it, i fear its the same here :( And maybe for you

yeah i would say reset bios and remove ram, extra hds, lights, anything which uses power..

your mobo doeesnt have a built in vga does it? if it does. make sure its not set to primary in bios (but i dont think it does)
