I've just bought my girlfriend a Nokia 5800 XM, and it's got a problem which I don't know how to solve.

When I sent a text message to her, if her phone is powered off, she will receive it the next time she switches the phone on. However, the time and date stamp should show the time I sent the message, not the time she received the message. But this isn't happening.

I sent her a message last night at 00:47:28, but her phone was off. She switched it on this morning, and the message said the time was 08:45, which is clearly wrong. Do you think my phone has a problem? Is there something in the settings?

It is running on the S60 rev5.0 platform, but might be similar to other S60 phones.

That's standard behaviour. The text message is time stamped with the time/date at which it was received. It's been the same since S60 v0.9!

Thanks for the reply. So there's no way to tell anymore what time the message was sent? My S40 8600 also has the time stamp for time when received, but the time seems to be the time my mobile operator received the SMS rather than my phone, which is pretty much the time the SMS was sent.
