Well first let me explain the problem, i have crucial ballistix pc5300 and an e6600 core2 duo.

Like everyone else i had my crucial running at 900mhz or so with 4.4.4.12 timings everyone seems to have no problem i didnt for a very long time until now. My cpu was running at 3.0 GHZ (custom cooler scythe razor).

But today... and like 2/3 weeks ago it happen too, i get a message when i start up my PC and it goes "Overclock has failed f1 to load setup f2 to restore defaults".

Now i restored defaults but my pc will randomly cut out... and restart or wont start up at all unless i unplug it from the wall and replug it in.

Could my ram be messed up by any chance?

Ive had my pc overclocked for a long time and as i said this happned like 1monthish ago and i reclocked everything back up to normal its been fine until now again.

Random restarts hangs not booting up etc.

Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated guys.

Go with Dr Sarfs advice, I had a similar thing happen to me, RAM just conking out. Crucials RMA service were excellent though so even if a stick is dead, you should have a replacement in a few days. Good luck with it!
