Ordered new mobo/cpu/ram put it all in correctly (i think, my dad did it). When i turn it on it restarts after 10ish seconds, then it boots again but nothing comes up on the screen, no error codes on the back and no POST beepy things. Also nothing is coming up on my monitor.

Any ideas?

This is what I bought.
OcUK Value IP35-S Intel P35 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E2140 "LGA775 Conroe" 1.60GHz (800FSB) - Retail
OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2 (OCZ2P800R22GK)

And what i already had was
BFG 7800GT
psu is http://www.ultraproducts.com/product_details.php?cPath=42&pPath=296&productID=296

One other thing, the motherboard has a 8 pin connecter but both of my psus only have a 4 pin? The review says that putting a 4 pin on 1 side should be fine, but do you think this may be an issue?

Have you set the correct voltage to the new ram in the BIOS?

Most mobos load up at a default of about 1.8V but I think your ram needs some more (1.9-2.0v according the OCUK website)

Do you have 2x 4 pin connectors you can use instead on 1x8? Have heard that 1x4 should be ok though :)

I cant even get in the bios, nothing is getting to my monitor, which makes me assume is gfx, but if its the gfx it should boot up into windows shouldnt it? And not restart then do nothing.

Have you plugged all the correct power connectors in, ie the 4 or 8pin by the cpu and the 24 pin ATX. (IGNORE THE FIRST PART)

Try resetting the CMOS/BIOS.

24 pin definitely in the right place, the problem i think is the 8/4 pin bit, both PSUs i have are 4 pin, but the mobo is a 8 pin slot.

I'll give the CMOS reset a try, but as it's a new mobo, is that likely to be the problem?

Soz, I thought you would still have your 7800GT about?

I'm using that 7800GT in this pc till i can get something better,

Im not on drugs, honestly, lol :)

Im having a strange day, for some reason I thought you'd bought a new GFX card but it was because I have received a new GFX card today and have had problems so was posting about that here on OCUK, Doh!

WHy do you say that? No Post could be any one of the components. Can you confirm that that is the symptom? i.e. No POST at all. Nothing on screen ever?
Either way the quickest way to solve this is to get to your friends house and start borrowing components to eliminate what it is. You would have to do this anyway if something is bust to see what it is.
I would try just one stick of ram in the first slot and disconnect anything uneccesary including fans and HDDs. If still no joy then I personally would go round a mates and...

Try your system with his gfx card in.
Try his PSU
Try his RAM (one stick only)
Try his CPU

Still no joy, try your components one by one in his system which would leave you with the mobo which could be the issue.

Well I'm assuming its the psu or the gfx because they are the only components that aren't new in my pc.

Gonna have to take my stuff round to a friends.
