Problem with Pentium 4 CPU

Got a parculiar problem with a shuttle PC.

This shuttle PC used to house a Pentium 4 CPU, and worked fine. I have just put a different Pentium 4 CPU into it, and it refuses to POST.

The new CPU is a 630 variant, and i have no idea about the old variant. Ive been with AMD for a long time now, and wouldnt know if the jump from 5xx series pentiums to 6xx pentiums resulted in a bios update for any motherboards. I dont know what bios version is in there at the moment but i think it may be earlier than any release below.

Can anyone share their experience with this please? I have checked the bios version release notes on the shuttle website, and they are so vague (yet do specifically mention the 630 chip for *something* - not sure what it is! (see below):

Well EIST is basically the speedstep function, i.e lowering the cpu speed and voltage consumption when idle. Yes you may likely need a BIOS update to run that cpu if your BIOS is fairly old. Only easy way is to use the old cpu to flash the BIOS then put the 630 in.

You did reset CMOS after the upgrade didnt you?

Reset the CMOS and even took the battery out and replaced it.

Ive also emailed shuttle to confirm its the bios, as i dont have the old CPU anymore.
