I don't use my printer very much, but it's normally reliable, as soon as I need it, switch it on and it's ready to go...as it should be 
Anyway, switched it on today and it's not working, got a windows message saying unknown usb device found. So I did a complete uninstall (revo), rebooted, registry clean and popped the disk in for re-install. All went good then suddenly get this message...
"Out of disk space
We found a previous version of the HP software in . To work properly with your other HP products, the software must be installed to the same location.
There is not enough space on this drive to install the software for your HP photosmart and deskjet printer series. Please cancel this install and free up space on the :\ drive by deleting files or uninstalling other programs.
After freeing up necessary space restart this installation by opening and closing the cd-rom drive where the HP cd is located.

Now i only have one HDD on the system with 360GB free, any idea's why this is happening and how to remedy it. It's been at least 2 months since I last used the printer and i've installed/uninstalled too many programs to mention since then.
Another point to note is that it doesn't mention the drive number, seems very strange to me.
