Problem with punkbuster and cod4 and bf2.

Hi guys ive been having terrible problems trying to get a game in bf2 and cod4 using punkbuster, I just keep getting kicked it says "service communication failure pnkbstrb.exe" Ive tried everything updating it manually, still nothing.

Anyone got any ideas?

That sounds like something is stopping one of the punkbuster services from running, have you made sure your firewall / Antivirus software is allowing the service to run

Other than that uninstall punkbuster / reinstall and update and see how you get on

Vista/Win7? If so try running the games as admin, should work for BF2 at least.

Go to start
Run
services.msc

Make sure both the punkbuster services are set to Automatic and Started.

Failing that, update it.

Im running vista 64, havent played cod4 or bf2 for a while, never had any problems before dont know why it should play up now :confused:

I uninstalled punkbuster and the game (COD4MW) seems to of done the trick, thanks for all the recommendations guys
