hi i am having problems with my OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2 (OCZ2P800R22GK)
first of all it wouldnt post on my 680i board at all, so after some head scratching i put some cheap low voltage ram in my board and changed the memory voltages to 2.1v in bios. i was relieved to find that when i then put one ocz stick back in it posted ok (although the ram seems to get quite hot after a few mins, dunno if this is normal though only my first build
)
ok so now i decided to put the other stick in the same colour dimm slot and try and boot. but it wouldnt boot and i got a c1 error so i was like this
so i took out the first stick and put the second stick in the first dimm slot and tried to boot but same old thing, it wont boot and i get c1 error on the mobo.
so is my second stick of ram fried? what can i do? if so can i rma just the one stick or do i have to rma the kit?
anyone having this problem too ?
cheers... (y)
