Hi,

A little while back I built myself a micro ATX pc using the ASUS P5Q-EM mobo. It runs the 6600 Quad Core CPU with 8 GB RAM, all sourced from OC. I have Vista Ultimate 64bit on it. I have noticed that when I plug in my external speakers into the headphone jack the speakers keep stopping. Infact it looks like the Audio devices keep unloading and loading since if I select the "pop dialog box" on device load in RealTek Audio Manager the dialog box then keeps popping up. I thought that it may be a dodgy connection, but am unsure so I thought that I would post this to glean any wisdom from you good folks.

Thanks in advance,

Sam

Can't say I have mate. Does this happen when you connect/disconnect your speakers from the rear jack or only the front? If it's only the front then you might want to check your front panel connections to the system board. If you still have no joy then grab the latest Realtek HD audio driver from the Asus site.
