Hi guys.

Just received my i7 Goliath back after the motherboard was replaced. I've hooked it up, switched it on and it doesn't post. No beeps, no picture, nothing.

It switches on and all the fans (think it's the gfx card) go to that max speed setting, and instead of slowing down after 2-3 seconds and then posting, it just continues.

Any suggestions before I return this again? :)

Could be an unstable overclock. Have you tried clearing the CMOS and reverting to stock? You can then try loading the overclocked profile that should have been installed and see if it's OK again.

Would an unstable clock prevent it from even trying to POST? The fans aren't even slowing back down.

It was stated as "motherboard replaced and tested" so it seems strange the overclock would have decided to create a problem during transport.

Argh this is so frustrating.

Edit After opening the case the power cables were unplugged from the DVD and HDD drives. :/

There are 4 LED's top right. When it's switched on all 4 stay on. There are 2 green and 2 red. They don't change. Any thoughts guys? :)

An unstable clock can cause those problems exactly as described. It could also be a faulty component or damage in transport. I'd check over all the connections and reseat the RAM and expansion cards. Try the CMOS too if you haven't yet.
