I have a TP-WDR3600 router which has been fine for 3 years now.
The signal is sufficient in the bedroom to use mobile phones and tablets but the rx rate from these devices is quite low (6mbps in some instances).
I have recently got a PS4 and I am using the direct wireless connection via my Vita for remote play as this provides the smoothest experience.
The problem I am having, is that whilst I'm connected to remote play, the devices which are connected to the WDR3600 have absolutely nil throughput.
The PS4 wireless is on channel 6 and the router is on channel 1, router is set to use 20mhz only as the phones don't support 40mhz.
Would changing my router improve the situation? I can connect the Vita via the main router which alleviates the problem of the other devices not getting any throughput, but then the remote play experience is ruined by picture break up and dropped frames as my WDR3600 doesn't have any kind of packet prioritisation.
