Hi folks,

Just sorting out my new iPhone, I got to Step 3 (Updating to 1.1.2) but couldn't for the life of me do this part.

Select the 'Install' option down at the very bottom and go to 'iPhone Tweaks 1.1.1' select it, then select 'OkToPrep' and install.

I couldn't find it anywhere, I thought I'd skip it and carry on but when I went to install 1.1.2 it'd say that I needed oktoprep before I could do it, can anyone offer any suggestions at to where I am ging wrong, I just couldn't find it in the installer.

Thanks

EDIT: I have restarted the process and got to this point - I press install at the bottom of the screen but there is no iphone tweaks 1.1.1, only a Tweaks (1.1.3), where am I going wrong. My iPhone version was 04.02.13_G if that helps

I am using jailbreakme.com. I am following the guide to the letter, i just get to that point and all I can find in the installer is Tweaks (1.1.3), this is the only tweaks part in installer!

I am going to do it again for the third time!

Not fancy using ZiPhone? it claims to do all versions iirc? I just done my 1.1.2 phone with 3 clicks.

So if I just put my phone into itunes and restore it I could then just run ziphone?

just checked and the restore option says restore and update so would that take me to 1.1.3? The Faq says that if the phone is 1.1.3 it can't be jailbroken?

ZiPhone will currently crack open any firmware

Make sure you grab version 2.0, i havent used this method myself but from all accounts its a real no brainer with the GUI method and quick to boot :D

I got ZiPhone 2.2 from here

http://www.ziphone.org/2008/02/ziphone-22_15.html

But it seems he has just updated to 2.3 today?? But 2.2 defo works from firmware 1.1.2 and from what i can gather 1.1.3 too.

Seriously, you connect your iphone to your PC iTunes will see it. Run ZiPhone, pick the 3 options you want (activate, Jailbreak and unlock) and click go. 3 minutes later your phone is jailbroken and will work on any network. Mines is on Vodafone.

Is there any confirmation that I can do it from 1.1.3? If I restore it through itunes to 1.1.3 and ziphone doesn't work can I take it back to 1.1.1 again?
