Ok I installed this the other day. I tried to run it and just as the Atari logo shows the entire computer shuts down instantly. Not windows shutting down. Just turns off. I have to allow the motherboard to loose power before I can restart up the machine too.

I emailed Atari but they haven't got back to me..
However I tried cracking the .exe with a online crack so I don't need the CD and the game loads fine now..

However the game doesn't run properley.
I go to enter my first challenge and choose single player and the game never loads the opponents to race agaisnt. I am just waiting around for the game to do nothing and my only option is to exit the game..

Any ideas?

Not running SLI/Crossfire are you?

I had hoards of problems until I disabled SLI (on my old rig), and crossfire (on this one).

I had this problem, and I'm sorry to say I never managed to fix it. The only fun I got out of the game was to download a completed save game and enjoy driving around in any car.

Did they ever end up fixing the ridiculous amount of issues people had? Was there ever a decent patch released apart from the one with the new cars in?

If only it had had less bugs it would have been an awesome game :(

it runs perfectly fine for me, no problems at all.... probably one of my favorite driving games (the best for just playing around on i.e cruising etc) although Gran Turismo 5 has to be the ultimate of all :)

Rejuvinated my interest in TDU when i got my new G25 about 2 weeks ago... fantastic buy much worth the £150 price tag.... shame OCUK werent the cheapest... by quite some too, normally are the cheapest and certainly the best customer service of all...

If you ever manage to sort out your game then give me a hollar through PM... afraid i cant help.
