Problem with Vertagear SL2000 rev.2 - tipping forward?

I bought a Vertagear SL2000 rev.2 chair from OcUK at the end of November and it's been great, but just recently it seems to have developed a tendency to tip forward, meaning that I have to brace my legs against the desk or the floor just to stay in it.

I tried contacting Vertagear support but they are very slow to respond and wanted to know serial numbers, invoices, pictures etc before even considering to help me (I've sent them those but still not heard back).

Is it possible that I've somehow just assembled the chair the wrong way round?

The chair seems to spring back into level when I get off it.

I've just watched the aseembly video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Au67-Vk5p1I and it does seem like I've got it assembled the wrong way round.

I've just taken the base plate off and put it back on the other way round and will try it like that.
