For some reason I can't get the the monitor to display DVI signals. When I try and use a DVI cable it just comes up with 'no signal'. Whereas if I stick the VGA cable onto a DVI adaptor and plug it into my GFX card (leadtek 6800GT) it works. Any ideas why?

At a guess, either your DVI connector on your monitor is broken, or on your graphics card. Do you have a different monitor / graphics card you can try?

The GFX card has 2 DVI ports (one of which I have been using a VGA adaptor on to use my other monitor) I have tried both connections and neither work so I assume the GFX card works. Unfortunatly I dont know anyone who has a DVI monitor to try.

I have recently been having issues with the moniter flickering off for a second or so and also showing 4 screens (or something similar) for about half a second. The problem is I am running Vista so dont know if its a software problem. I am going to connect up my other monitor beside it and see if it flickers too (VGA connection).

Is this likely to be a monitor problem bearing in mind my dvi connection doesnt seem to work? What is the on site warranty like from viewsonic? Im a little worried about sending it back as they may charge me and I may recieve a monitor back with dead pixels.
