Hello,

The Problem:

My problem has been happening on and off for about 2-3 days now, i've not changed any settings or installed any new hardware.

At first i thought it was a virus or other glitch in the system and so i formatted the system and re-installed vista last night, only for the same thing to happen.

What happens is when viewing any website, word document or using itunes i'll be viewing the text at the top of the page then it would instantly jump to the bottom of the page.

Take for an example i'm looking at thfront page of the ocuk forum, it would zoom down to bottom showing me who is signed in, and once it is there it wont allow me to scroll up as it always returnes to the bottom.

Problem Solving:

The only way i could stop this from hapening is to press the scroll lock button a few times, but this only solves the problem for a short while.

I tried unplugging the USB keyboard (Speed link ultra flat keyboard) and using my old keyboard (with the round connector) and that solves the problem.

I've tried downloading the most up todate drivers for the keyboard but this doesn't fit it.

Does anyone know why i'm having this problem and is there a solution to it?

Thanks in advance.

Ps: It's done it 5 times whilst writing this post

sticky page down key,or faulty one? :)
well speaking of funny going on with keyboards, i have a wierd one too, i have got a saitech gaming keyboard, that worked perfectly in xp since i had it.
i then moved to vista, all was well until a few days ago, the cursor keys would not work properly, ie the up key and the left key would not work at all, i have taken the keyboard out and tried it in another computer running xp and it still works as it should, wiered eh..

Could be a fault rather than a sticky key as once i click any key it fixes it for a short time, i thought it was just the scroll lock key but it seems any key stops it for a short while.

i'll plug it into my laptop to see if it does it then.

Quick update for you, just plugged it into my laptop running XP and gave it only took about 15 seconds before it jumped to the bottom of the page.

Think a new keyboard is on the cards.

Thanks for the idea.
