Problem with Vista

Hi guys!

I installed steam which went without a hitch. Now I'm using steam all the text is missing in steam

I had to guess my way through to log in

So I can't download any of my steam games because I cant see anything lol.All I can see are the pictures on the news screen when you first load up steam.

Any idea's?

This is using Vista home premium 32bit.

I would uninstall and reinstall tbh. Steam is working fine on my 32-bit Home Premium...

Run uninstall from the stream folder then run install from here http://www.steampowered.com/v/index.php?area=getsteamnow&cc=US .

Hi mate

Tryed that 3 times and its still the same

I downloaded it from the Steam site so its legit.

Have you tried Stream Support/Forums and the OcUK PC Games forum.

Did you also delete the steam folder/s after you uninstall it ???

Yes.

Made a forum account @ the steam forum but I'm waiting for activation.
Looks like Linux has a similar problem as me caused by missing fronts.Still trying to find out more.

Set your windows theme to 'windows classic' (or whatever is the most basic in vista), and make sure everything is on default, and see if it still does it then.
